The posting

THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE NONPROFIT STARTUP VOLUNTEER ROLE.

Read carefully before applying.

As a rapidly growing global nonprofit with a large network of entrepreneurs, professionals and students, we strive to automate manual decision-making processes with smart algorithms and use advanced data analytics techniques to understand our global impact. The algorithms and analysis we do are either translated into powerful decision making or incorporated into our web apps by developers across the world. We are looking for a Global Analytics and Algorithm Manager to oversee our analytics and algorithm design projects.

You may also find out more about Technology at BfE here.

Responsibilities

  • Ideation. Understand data analytics and algorithm design needs from different divisions in BfE, and build your own vision around what matters and what projects can be beneficial to the organisation. Work with student directors to design detailed project plans to be distributed to the student chapters. Detailed project management is not required as we have dedicated project leads for each project.
  • Training and evaluation. Collect feedbacks about projects and understand what can be improved. Design and organise training sessions for developers and technical advisory associates (see Tech@BfE page on what is Technical Advisory), leveraging on BfE’s global network of professionals and corporate partners or even forming partnerships yourself on behalf of BfE.

Requirements

  • Enthusiasm and commitment to BfE’s cause
  • Passion in data analytics, algorithm design and machine learning in the context of real-life business needs
  • Flexible and always keen to stay up-to-date with latest tools and practices in data analytics and algorithm design
  • Highly organised with excellent planning skills
  • Min. 2 years of coding experience. You must be experienced with common analytics tools in Python, and experiences in data analytics, algorithm design and machine learning are essential. A strong mathematical background is highly desirable.
  • This role is open to graduate students and working professionals. Exceptions can be made for extremely outstanding undergraduates. There are no geographical restrictions.

**Commitment: 5-6 hrs/week

Perks

  • An opportunity to join the global leadership team in a large global nonprofit and network with people across different disciplines who share a joint passion in social entrepreneurship and startups
  • Constant interactions with a growing global community of diverse, talented and passionate BfE members across the world
  • Making a social impact with your professional skills while further developing them in the business context of an nonprofit incubator

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

The numbers game

More applications. More interviews.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
