Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and efficient Tire Technician to join our vehicle reconditioning team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, mounting, balancing, and repairing tires on a wide variety of pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet our safety and quality standards before going to the sales lot.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Inspect and Assess: Evaluate incoming vehicles for tire wear, damage, and safety defects.
  • Mount and Balance: Safely operate tire-changing and wheel-balancing equipment to install new or used tires.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Repair punctures, rotate tires, check tire pressure, and reset TPMS systems.
  • Team Support: Assist the lot attendant during slow periods with vehicle movement, line organization, or minor cleaning tasks.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all tire work complies with shop and safety regulations.
  • Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory and workspace.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a tire technician, express lane technician, or lube tech is required.
  • Environmental Comfort: Must be completely comfortable working outdoors, including performing physical labor during the extreme Arizona summer heat.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Proficient in safely operating tire machines, wheel balancers, and shop jacks.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods in a shop/outdoor environment.
  • Attributes: Strong attention to detail, reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • License: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
