Pay Range: $190,000 - $200,000 Annualized Salary

As the Bristol Hospice as the Vice President of Clinical, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of enterprise clinical strategies and operational initiatives across Bristol Hospice locations. This

position serves as the operational leader between corporate clinical leadership and regional clinical teams, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, clinical excellence, and achievement of quality outcomes.

What You'll Bring to The Team:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an active license in good standing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related healthcare field preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in hospice clinical operations.
  • Minimum three (3) years of multi-site hospice leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational performance management.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, startups, and growth initiatives preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of hospice regulations, Conditions of Participation, accreditation standards, and reimbursement requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) principles and quality metric management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams across diverse geographic regions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret clinical, operational, and financial data.
  • Experience managing survey readiness and regulatory audits.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, mentoring, and organizational development skills.
  • Ability to influence outcomes and drive accountability through indirect leadership.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Results-driven with the ability to balance strategic planning and operational execution

On An Average Day You Will: (includes, but not limited to)

CLINICAL LEADERSHIP & OPERATIONS

  • Provide oversight and direction for clinical across assigned hospice locations.
  • Partner with the Chief Clinical Officer to implement enterprise clinical strategies and organizational initiatives.
  • Lead Regional and Area VPs of Clinical in achieving operational, clinical, and quality goals.
  • Ensure consistency in clinical practice, standards, processes, and patient care delivery across all locations.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical performance indicators and develop action plans to improve outcomes.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of clinical metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting systems.
  • Promote a culture of patient-centered care, clinical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

QUALITY & COMPLIANCE

  • Ensure all locations maintain continuous survey readiness. Provide leadership and oversight for QAPI activities, Performance Improvement
  • Projects (PIPs), and corrective action plans.
  • Monitor quality outcomes including Hospice Care Index, CAHPS Hospice Survey results, live discharge rates, hospitalization metrics, infection prevention, and documentation compliance.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to identify opportunities for performance improvement and ensure implementation of sustainable solutions.
  • Support responses to regulatory audits, surveys, and accreditation reviews.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Analyze trends and performance metrics across regions and develop strategies to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Business Development leadership regarding the financial impact of clinical performance measures.
  • Provide consultation and support related to staffing models, productivity, clinical workflows, and operational efficiencies.
  • Evaluate emerging trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices and recommend organizational responses.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

  • Develop, mentor, and evaluate direct reports.
  • Foster leadership development among Regional and Area Vice Presidents
  • Promote succession planning and talent development initiatives.
  • Lead educational programs and leadership forums focused on clinical quality, compliance, and operational performance.

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

  • Serve as a key liaison between corporate clinical leadership and field operations.
  • Provide recommendations to senior leadership regarding clinical priorities, resource allocation, and organizational opportunities.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives supporting long-term organizational growth and sustainability.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, professional associations, and clinical leadership meetings as assigned
