The posting

At Broadridge, we've built a culture where the highest goal is to empower others to accomplish more. If you’re passionate about developing your career, while helping others along the way, come join the Broadridge team.

Broadridge is hiring a Vice President, Domestic Settlements with deep Fed settlements expertise and demonstrated experience in DTC settlements.

Reporting to the Head of Settlements, this leader will oversee assigned domestic settlements operations within Broadridge Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), delivering reliable client service, strong operational controls, and sustainable business performance. The role requires an experienced industry leader who can strengthen operational execution, develop leadership capability, and drive improvements across a complex, deadline-driven settlements environment.

With primary expertise in Fed settlements and the ability to lead and support DTC settlements as business needs evolve, you will provide technical and strategic direction across both functions. You will lead managers, team leads, and associates across U.S. and offshore teams, build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, and partner with business and technology leaders to strengthen service delivery and support growth.

In this role you will:

  • Lead domestic settlements operations: Provide leadership and accountability for assigned Fed and DTC settlements functions, ensuring accurate, timely execution within applicable market deadlines, client commitments, and contractual service levels.
  • Bring deep industry expertise: Serve as a senior subject-matter expert in Fed settlements, with sufficient DTC expertise to oversee operations, resolve complex issues, and provide leadership coverage across both areas as needed.
  • Strengthen operational stability: Assess operational performance, identify root causes of recurring issues, and execute improvements that strengthen service consistency, management oversight, and business continuity.
  • Own operational risk and controls: Oversee settlement exceptions, fails management, buy-ins where applicable, cash and securities reconciliations, and exposures arising from unsettled transactions. Establish clear escalation protocols and ensure timely resolution of material risks.
  • Lead critical escalations: Direct the response to significant settlement disruptions and client issues, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, communicating resolution plans, and ensuring corrective actions prevent recurrence.
  • Manage senior client relationships: Serve as a senior operational contact for assigned clients, lead service reviews, address complex concerns, and translate client needs into effective operating solutions.
  • Set strategy and performance expectations: Establish priorities, operating standards, and performance measures across assigned teams. Use service, risk, capacity, and quality metrics to drive accountability and informed decisions.
  • Develop leaders and strengthen coverage: Coach managers and emerging leaders, build succession plans, and expand cross-training across Fed and DTC settlements to reduce key-person dependency and improve coverage flexibility.
  • Oversee workforce and financial planning: Partner with leadership, HR, and Finance on staffing, resource allocation, recruitment, performance management, and compensation planning within approved budgets.
  • Drive modernization: Sponsor and prioritize automation, workflow simplification, and technology enhancements. Partner with technology teams to deliver measurable improvements in controls, efficiency, scalability, and client experience.
  • Maintain effective governance: Ensure teams follow applicable Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and internal control requirements. Maintain clear documentation, training, and ownership of remediation actions.
  • Support business growth: Provide operational expertise for prospective client discussions, service expansions, and transitions, ensuring commitments are supported by appropriate capacity, controls, and execution plans.
  • Partner across the organization: Work with Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance, HR, and other operational leaders to resolve cross-functional issues and advance business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Extensive, progressive experience in securities operations and settlements, including significant leadership responsibility for complex operations and client relationships.
  • Deep, hands-on Fed securities settlements expertise required, including familiarity with Fedwire Securities Service processes, settlement deadlines, exception resolution, cash and securities movements, and related operational controls.
  • Demonstrated DTC settlements experience required, with the ability to oversee relevant settlement workflows, fails management, reconciliations, and escalations and provide leadership coverage when needed.
  • Proven success leading managers and geographically distributed teams in a high-volume, time-sensitive financial services environment.
  • A track record of stabilizing operations, resolving complex settlement issues, strengthening controls, and delivering sustained service improvements.
  • Strong understanding of settlement-related financial risk, market exposure, reconciliation controls, and operational resilience.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and detailed technical levels, applying sound judgment during significant operational and client escalations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build leadership capability, develop succession plans, and improve cross-functional knowledge and coverage.
  • Excellent executive communication, relationship management, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Experience prioritizing technology and automation investments and leading operational change with measurable results.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Series 99 preferred, subject to applicable role and registration requirements.
  • Experience with Impact, BPS, and relevant Fed and DTC settlement platforms preferred.

Salary range $210,000.00- $235,000.00. Bonus Eligible.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
