We're seeking an experienced individual to oversee our dairy department and ensure the availability of fresh and high-quality dairy products for our customers. If you have strong organizational skills and a dedication to excellence, apply now! Be part of a team committed to providing exceptional service and offering the best dairy products to our customers.   Job Summary: As a Dairy Lead, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the dairy department, including inventory management, ordering, stocking, and customer service. Your role involves overseeing the dairy team, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and maximizing department profitability. Join us in providing a wide selection of dairy products and creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.   Examples of Duties:

Supervise and train dairy department staff, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and providing guidance and support. Monitor inventory levels and order dairy products to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize waste. Receive deliveries of dairy products, inspecting for quality and freshness, and ensuring proper storage. Rotate dairy products on shelves and refrigerated cases to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling and storage of dairy products. Provide exceptional customer service, including answering inquiries, assisting with product selection, and resolving customer complaints. Monitor department sales performance and implement strategies to increase profitability and meet sales targets. Collaborate with store management to develop promotions and marketing initiatives to drive dairy department sales.

  Knowledge:

Knowledge of dairy products, including milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, and other dairy items. Familiarity with inventory management principles and ordering processes. Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations related to dairy products. Basic knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles.

Skills:

Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve department goals and provide excellent customer service. Organization: Skill in managing inventory, schedules, and department operations efficiently. Communication: Clear and effective communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and vendors. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address issues related to product quality, inventory management, and customer service.

Abilities:

Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Customer Focus: Commitment to providing exceptional service and meeting the needs of customers. Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in inventory management, product placement, and customer transactions. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry heavy objects.

  Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a grocery store or dairy department, with supervisory or management experience preferred. Knowledge of dairy products and industry trends. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
