If you're ready to blend your passion for baking with leadership skills, apply now and contribute to creating a sweet and successful bakery experience for our customers!   Job Summary: As the Bakery Assistant Manager, you'll be an integral part of our grocery store's bakery leadership team. Collaborate with the Bakery Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, ensure top-notch product quality, and lead a dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to merge your love for baking with management responsibilities, contributing to the overall success and innovation of our bakery offerings.   Examples of Duties:

Assist the Bakery Manager in managing daily bakery operations, including production, staffing, and customer service. Supervise and provide guidance to bakery staff, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to achieve department goals, such as sales targets and product quality. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe bakery space. Collaborate with vendors to source quality ingredients and bakery products. Support the analysis of sales data and customer feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement. Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and coordinating with the overall store inventory systems.

  Knowledge:

Solid understanding of bakery operations, production processes, and ingredient quality. Familiarity with industry trends and innovations in baked goods. Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices. Proficiency in inventory management and ordering processes. Leadership principles and effective team management skills.

Skills:

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Effective communication and collaboration with team members and other departments. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of baking techniques and food safety practices.

Abilities:

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts. Adaptability to learn and operate bakery equipment. Customer-focused with a commitment to providing a positive shopping experience.

  Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a bakery or leadership role. Demonstrated knowledge of bakery operations and production. Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced retail environment. Experience with inventory management and ordering systems.
