Job Title: Non Foods Manager 

Primary Supervisor: Store Director 

Status: Non-Exempt 

 

Seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Non-Foods Manager at Broulim’s! Are you passionate about managing inventory, optimizing shelf space, and ensuring a diverse selection of household essentials for our customers? We're looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and a knack for leadership. Job Summary: As a Non-Foods Manager, you will oversee the non-foods department, including household items, cleaning supplies, health and beauty products, and more. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory levels, optimizing product placement, and ensuring the department meets sales targets. You will also be responsible for leading and supervising a team of non-foods clerks, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental success. 

 

Examples of Duties: 

Manage inventory levels for non-food items, including ordering, receiving, and restocking products to maintain adequate stock levels. 

Optimize shelf space and product placement to maximize sales and ensure a visually appealing presentation. 

Monitor sales trends and customer preferences to make informed decisions about product selection and promotions. 

Train and supervise non-foods clerks, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and departmental efficiency. 

Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory records and minimize shrinkage. 

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines. 

Collaborate with store management and other department managers to achieve overall store goals and objectives. 

 

Knowledge: 

Knowledge of non-food products, including household items, cleaning supplies, health and beauty products, and more. 

Familiarity with inventory management principles and retail operations. 

Skills: 

Leadership: Strong leadership skills for supervising and motivating a team of non-foods clerks. 

Organization: Excellent organizational skills for managing inventory, product placement, and departmental operations. 

Communication: Clear and effective communication skills for interacting with customers, coworkers, and management. 

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and develop solutions to address them. 

Abilities: 

Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and handle various tasks as needed. 

Teamwork: Collaboration with coworkers and management to achieve departmental and store-wide goals. 

Multi-tasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 

Customer Service: Commitment to providing excellent customer service and meeting the needs of customers. 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

High school diploma or equivalent. 

Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment. 

Knowledge of non-food products and inventory management practices. 

Strong leadership and organizational skills.
