Brunel is voor een langdurig project in Brussel op zoek naar een Software Engineer Back End (Sr.)

Over deze functie

Als senior back-end software engineer beschik je over meer dan 5 jaar ervaring in het ontwerpen en programmeren van back-end softwareapplicaties

  • Je doorgrondt het functionele ontwerp op basis van de functionele specificaties;
  • Je stelt de programmastructuur op aan de hand van het technisch ontwerp;
  • Je stelt testcases op en voert deze uit, en past bestaande programma's aan voor productie;
  • Je ontwerpt wijzigingen en verwerkt deze in het designdocument;
  • Je voert zelf controles uit op je eigen code en beoordeelt de code van collega's (peer review);
  • Je lost toegewezen incidenten en defecten op en volgt het proces tot aan de afronding;
  • Je voert technische integratietests uit voor de applicatie in relatie tot andere gekoppelde applicaties.

Naast aantoonbare ervaring in softwareontwikkeling beschik je over de volgende kerncompetenties: werken volgens Agile-methodieken, analytisch denkvermogen, samenwerken, leergierigheid, zelfstandigheid, probleemoplossend vermogen en resultaatgerichtheid.

De belangrijkste aspecten die we verwachten zijn:

  • gedegen technische ervaring in een Mainframe omgeving (Cobol, PL/1, EGL, DB2, Idz workbench, CI/CD-GitHub, Changeman, ...)
  • de businessnoden kunnen vertalen in een functioneel en technisch ontwerp
  • Meedraaien in een permanentieregeling
  • zelfstandig kunnen werken en in staat zijn om je snel in te werken (technisch en functioneel) en openstaan voor vernieuwing
  • teamplayer, zowel naar ICT- en business collega's
  • communicatief en sociaal vaardig, in staat je ideeën op een heldere en gestructureerde manier over te brengen naar anderen
  • je functioneert goed in een complexe omgeving, die veel afstemming vereist met diverse betrokken partijen
  • Ervaring in de financiële markten en beleggingen is een pluspunt
  • Nederlandse en Engelse communicatie is zeer belangrijk (internationale context)
