- Lead onboarding for new hires, including first-day setup, training schedules, system access, and policy review
- Maintain office procedures, checklists, employee files, and internal HR documentation
- Support firm technology, including Clio, by helping the team use systems consistently
- Coordinate office needs, facilities, supplies, and administrative logistics
- Coordinate with the bookkeeper and CPA to support accurate financial tracking and reporting
- Support a smooth client experience by helping intake, follow-up, and handoffs run well, while attorneys handle all legal advice
- Keep leadership informed of operational updates, staffing needs, and workflow issues
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of office management experience in a law firm, with a strong understanding of law firm terminology and workflow
- Experience managing staff, monitoring workflow, and supporting accountability
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and follow through consistently
- Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
- Comfortable working with attorneys, staff, clients, and outside professionals such as bookkeepers and CPAs
- Familiarity with law firm systems such as Clio or MyCase is helpful
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required with strong relevant experience
Nice to Have (not required)
- Experience supporting billing and collections, reviewing prebills, or monitoring work in progress and client balances
- Familiarity with law firm trust accounting and IOLTA
Benefits
- Salary: $80,000 to $100,000, based on directly related experience
- 100% employee healthcare coverage
- 401(k) through Principal with an automatic 3% employer contribution after one year of qualification
- Paid time off
- Paid national holidays
