  • Wetter- und Klimamodelldaten wissenschaftlich analysieren
  • Charakteristika, Variabilität und Trends in vorindustriellem, heutigem und zukünftigem Klima analysieren
  • Datenanalysewerkzeuge entwickeln, Daten verwalten und wissenschaftliche Resultate in Betrieb übernehmen
  • Mit nationalen und internationalen Partnern, insbesondere im Nationalen Forschungsschwerpunkt "CLIM+ - Klimaextreme und Gesellschaft: Resilienz stärken" (CLIM+), zusammenarbeiten
  • Berichte, Dokumentationen sowie wissenschaftliche Publikationen erstellen

Das macht Sie einzigartig

  • Doktorat in Atmosphäre und Klima, Meteorologie, Umweltwissenschaften, Physik oder einem verwandten Fach
  • Sehr gute Kenntnisse in Dynamik von Extremwetter und Klimaextremen in den mittleren Breiten und des Einflusses von Zirkulation und Telekonnektionen
  • Sehr gute Kenntnisse in der Auswertung und Umgang mit Datensätzen aus numerischer Wettervorhersage, Reanalyse und Klimamodellen
  • Erfahrung im Umgang mit modernen Analysemethoden und Programmieren sowie Grundkenntnisse und Interesse an Machine Learning
  • Freude an der Zusammenarbeit mit Projektpartnern und Motivation gemeinsam Lösungen zu finden
  • Kenntnisse zweier Amtssprachen und sehr gute Englischkenntnisse
