The posting

This role is with a Qureos client, a well-established MEP contracting company in the UAE, and Qureos is managing the hiring on their behalf.

About the Role After more than 30 years of service, our client’s current Tendering Manager is preparing to retire, and the company is looking for a seasoned MEP professional to take over leadership of the tendering department. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead a team of 5 engineers and 1 secretary, own the full tendering cycle from opportunity to award, and work closely with the outgoing manager during a structured handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the MEP tendering and estimation team
  • Review and prepare tenders, cost estimates, and commercial submissions
  • Identify and pursue new tender opportunities in the market
  • Lead client discussions and commercial negotiations in Arabic and English
  • Review, interpret, and negotiate contractual and commercial terms, with a strong focus on FIDIC-based contracts
  • Take tenders through to finalization and award
  • Ensure estimates are accurate and closely reflect actual project costs

What Success Looks Like In the first 3 to 6 months, you will take full ownership of the tendering department and ensure a smooth transition from the current manager. Ongoing, success will be measured by project awards won, the quality and accuracy of tender estimates, and how closely estimated costs track actual project costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with significant experience in MEP tendering and contracts
  • Strong background in MEP construction, particularly high-rise, residential, and commercial building projects
  • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of FIDIC contracts (Red, Yellow, and Silver Books), including contract review, risk assessment, variations, and claims
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken), with the ability to lead client negotiations and prepare commercial documentation in both languages
  • Proven experience in tendering, estimation, contract preparation, and client negotiations
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing a technical team
  • Stable employment history with long-term tenures
  • Strong MS Office and AutoCAD skills
  • Ability to provide strong, verifiable client references
  • Professional, confident presence with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • High standards of honesty and integrity

Preferred

  • Experience with Kandy software
  • Relevant professional certifications
  • Background with leading MEP companies in the UAE

What’s on Offer

  • Performance-based incentives
  • Category A medical insurance
  • Annual air tickets for the employee and up to two eligible family members
  • Additional benefits discussed during the selection process

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
