Job Title: Science Laboratory Attendant

Employment Type: Contract (12 months, with an option to extend for another year) Work Location: 128 Serangoon Avenue 3, Singapore 556111 Monthly Salary: S$2100/Month

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027. The college may extend the contract for another year.

Working Hours:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: 8:00am to 5:15pm, including a 45-minute lunch break
  • Wednesdays: 8:00am to 4:45pm, including a 45-minute lunch break
  • During examination periods, you must be able to start work at 7:00am. Time off in lieu will be given for hours worked beyond the normal hours.
  • No work on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and lock the science laboratories’ doors and windows to keep the premises safe and secure
  • Keep lab equipment and workspaces clean and tidy
  • Keep assigned areas of the school premises clean
  • Help prepare apparatus, equipment and chemical reagents for Science practical lessons
  • Clean, maintain and store science lab apparatus, equipment and materials
  • Support STEM instructors and help with other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to handle chemicals such as acids and bases
  • Some knowledge of science laboratory safety
  • Preferably 1 year of working experience in a science laboratory in a Junior College
