Are you interested in management consulting and want to work in an entrepreneurial environment in a global organization? We are now looking for two junior consultants to join our dedicated team in Kyiv on Associate level. Do you thrive on delivering value to clients within market expansion, growth, and internationalisation? Business Sweden works with leading multinational companies and start-ups across all industries, and our clients' business is often driven by digitalization, innovation, and sustainability. Our consultancy services include market entry and growth strategies, sales acceleration, business intelligence, partner searches, Public Affairs support, and M&A advisory.

Business Sweden re-established its on-the-ground presence in Kyiv in 2023. We continue to strengthen our local operations to support Swedish companies contributing to Sweden's support to Ukraine and that are interested in business opportunities related to Ukraine's recovery and future growth. The Kyiv office works closely with Swedish companies, public stakeholders, financial institutions, and international partners to identify opportunities and enable sustainable business engagement in the Ukrainian market.

Focusing on sectors such as healthcare, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and technology, you will be part of project teams delivering market insights, business development initiatives, and strategic advisory services to Swedish companies seeking to establish or expand their presence in Ukraine.

The role includes both strategic, tactical, and operational responsibilities such as:

  • Collecting, analysing, and presenting market intelligence, industry insights, and business opportunities to support Swedish companies exploring or expanding in Ukraine.
  • Supporting consulting projects related to market entry, growth strategies, partner searches, business development, and commercial excellence across a range of industries.
  • Coordinating and facilitating stakeholder dialogues, workshops, business delegations, events, and other activities that strengthen Sweden's business footprint in Ukraine.
  • Supporting project management, operational delivery, reporting, and administrative processes to ensure high-quality client service and efficient execution of both client assignments and internal initiatives.
  • Collaborating closely with Swedish and international stakeholders while taking ownership of your work and contributing to a high-performing and supportive team environment.
  • Other tasks than above may be included in your work, as requested by your manager

Depending on the candidate's profile, the role may include a combination of consulting, business development, project coordination, and operational support activities. We therefore welcome applicants with an interest in either management consulting or business operations who are motivated by supporting Swedish companies in an international environment.

The role is based on-site in our Kyiv office and reports to the Country Manager & Trade Commissioner. You will work closely with colleagues across Business Sweden's global network and may occasionally travel within Europe as required.

Formal requirements

  • A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Law or equivalent.
  • 1-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities combined with sound business acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Ukrainian. Swedish is not required, but knowledge in a Scandinavian language is considered a merit.
  • Previous experience from management consulting, business advisory, business development, international trade, operations, administration or related fields is considered a merit.
  • Candidates must have the right to live and work in Ukraine.
  • Experience from working in an international environment is considered a merit.
  • You will be working on-site in our Kyiv office. Normal working hours are 9-18 Monday to Friday.
