Als leerlingbegeleider ondersteun je leerlingen met een verstandelijke beperking in hun sociaal-emotionele ontwikkeling, welbevinden en schoolloopbaan. Je begeleidt leerlingen, ondersteunt leerkrachten en werkt nauw samen met ouders en externe partners om een veilig, positief en ontwikkelingsgericht leer- en leefklimaat te creëren.

Belangrijkste taken

  • Individuele en groepsgerichte begeleiding van leerlingen.
  • Signaleren en opvolgen van welzijns-, gedrags- en zorgvragen.
  • Ondersteunen van leerkrachten bij leerlinggebonden uitdagingen.
  • Overleg met ouders, CLB en externe hulpverleners.
  • Meewerken aan een positief school- en leefklimaat.

Wij vragen:

  • Iemand die vlot vertrouwensrelaties opbouwt met leerlingen, ouders en collega's, communicatief sterk is en op een respectvolle en verbindende manier in gesprek kan gaan met verschillende betrokkenen.
  • Iemand die consequent en standvastig handelt bij begeleidings- en gedragsinterventies, met oog voor de noden van elke leerling en an omgaan met een diverse leerlingengroep en rustig en professioneel blijft in uitdagende situaties.
  • Iemand die empathisch is, maar ook duidelijke grenzen weet te stellen, die professionele nazorg en ondersteuning biedt aan leerlingen en leerkrachten na incidenten, met aandacht voor welzijn, herstel en verdere begeleiding.
  • Iemand die beschikt over sterke observatie- en begeleidingsvaardigheden en signalen rond welzijn, gedrag en ontwikkeling correct kan inschatten en die kennis van of interesse heeft in het decreet Leerlingenbegeleiding en handelingsgericht werken.
