BW Epic Kosan owns and operates a fleet of about 48 modern and high quality fully pressurized, semi-refrigerated and ethylene capable gas carriers providing seaborne services for the transportation of liquified petroleum gas (LPG), petrochemicals and other specialty gases. We are headquartered in Singapore, with offices in Copenhagen, Manila, and Tokyo. Our vessels serve as a crucial link in the international gas supply chains of leading energy majors and commodity trading houses throughout Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. We employ approximately 2,000 seafarers and a multi-national team of about 180 shore-based staff.

Job Description

The Recruitment Officer is overall responsible in delivering all facets of recruiting successthroughout the organization.

The Recruitment Officer reports directly to the Team Leader, Crewing & Recruitment in Manila,Philippines.

The main duties are:

1. Responsible for liaising with Planning department regarding recruitment requirements.

2. Accountable for ensuring that applicants meet the minimum requirements as per STCWand company recruitment matrix.

3. Responsible for conducting initial interviews and background checks.

4. Accountable for ensuring the administration of I-Test to applicants.

5. Accountable for ensuring that required documents and certificates are updated inMariapps.

6. Prepare applicant requirements and endorse for technical interview.

7. Accountable for ensuring that the technical interview of applicant is carried out.

8. Responsible for informing an applicant about approval or rejection of application.

9. Responsible for endorsement of approved candidate/s to planning department

10. Accountable for Recruitment Monthly Reports.

11. Performs other related functions as may be assigned by Operations Manager.

Qualifications

We’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced maritime environment. If you have a passion for recruitment and a strong understanding of the seafaring industry, we’d love to hear from you!

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in maritime recruitment
  • Seafaring background with a minimum of 12 months sea service onboard any type of vessel
  • Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership when needed
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong time management and results-driven mindset
  • Knowledgeable in processing requirements with government agencies and various embassies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Crew Database Management Systems
