Job Responsibilities

  • Handle quantity surveying and commercial matters for data centre construction, white space fit-out, and MEP infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and tender submissions for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works.
  • Perform quantity take-offs for electrical systems (LV/MV distribution, UPS, switchgear, cabling), mechanical systems (HVAC, chilled water piping, liquid cooling), and associated MEP works.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure accurate costing.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from MEP subcontractors, equipment suppliers, and vendors.
  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, variation orders (VO), progress claims, and final accounts.
  • Evaluate subcontractor claims, negotiate pricing, and support contract administration.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Procurement teams to monitor project costs and profitability.
  • Support cost estimation and commercial activities from tender stage through project completion.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of MEP quantity surveying experience, preferably in data centre or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in data centre fit-out, electrical infrastructure, HVAC, cooling systems, or MEP installation works.
  • Good understanding of MEP drawings, BOQ preparation, tender pricing, and subcontractor management.
  • Familiarity with electrical distribution systems, UPS, precision cooling, chilled water systems, or liquid cooling is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and ability to work independently.
