Course Description: Organizing, controlling, and directing operations of construction companies; financial management, budgeting, cash-flow analysis, purchasing and cost control, and business planning. Students apply ethics, human resources, managerial accounting, and risk management principles, culminating in a comprehensive company business plan
Required Degree:
Master's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A PhD in a similar area is preferred. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of professional construction management experience, including company-level operations or financial management.
Duties/Expectations:
Teach one 3-credit section of CFM 445: Construction Company Operations and Management (Winter 2027). Class is taught in-person, twice weekly (M/W; 2:00 - 3:15 PM)
- Instruct students in person during designated class times
- Provide office consultations and student mentoring
- Prepare supplements to course materials
- Evaluate student work
- Administer exams
Adjunct faculty do not attend faculty meetings and are not required to participate in research or citizenship responsibilities.
