The Opportunity: Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern supporting the design and analysis of fixturing and assembly tooling for flight systems. This role offers the chance to work alongside cross‑functional partners—including Quality, Specialty Engineering, Test, Inspection, Technicians, and Senior Engineers—while receiving direct mentorship from experienced engineering staff. This position will be fully on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Design fixturing and tooling that support the assembly of flight systems
- Perform hands‑on analysis and evaluation of proposed designs
- Support and learn from senior engineers through active project engagement
- Participate in floor activities, which may include work performed in cleanroom environments (assembly, test)
- Collaborate within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support program execution
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and have completed sophomore-level coursework
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
- General knowledge of machine shop practices and fabrication methods
- Comfortable using hand tools and performing first-hand analysis
- Experience or coursework in design and drafting
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
Desired:
- Formula SAE participation is a plus
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, but not required
- Previous internship/co-op or other work experience

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$45,900 - $91,900
