The posting

At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.

Cadence Design Systems is looking for new STEM bachelor’s graduates with a passion for electronic systems and hardware design to join our Customer Support Team’s (CST) Systems Rotational Program in San Jose, CA.

As an integral member of CST, you work with best-in-class PCB, packaging and system analysis tools, collaborate with technical experts, and support the sales team in a dynamic environment focused on chip-to-board-to-system design. In this customer-facing role, you will provide design services, technical sales support and front-line customer support to leading Cadence customers. You will work with the account team to solve their most challenging PCB, packaging and signal/power integrity problems. This is an entry-level rotational position for STEM bachelor-level graduates with limited experience but a strong desire to learn and be a part of the electronic technologies of tomorrow.

What opportunity is offered? The person in this full time regular entry level position will start a one-year, cohort-based program with two six-month rotations. Both rotations are in Cadence Systems solutions, such as Allegro PCB Design, Sigrity signal and power integrity, and IC Packaging. You will receive hands-on training and learn from the technical experts and application engineers who support our most advanced customers. This program is only for students graduating with a bachelor’s degree. After the program, you will be assigned a full-time role in a CST Systems group with focus on working with Customer accounts.

This cohort-based program will offer experience in:

PCB design fundamentals: schematics, stackup, constraints, placement and routing, manufacturing outputs

High-speed design and signal integrity

Power integrity and power delivery network analysis

IC package and multi-die design

UNIX and scripting languages such as Python and SKILL

Customer-facing technical support, evaluations and demos

Opportunity to network and participate in recent-grad community activities at Cadence

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a related STEM field. Coursework or project experience in circuits, signals or digital hardware, such as a capstone, club project or board bring-up. Experience with any PCB or CAD tool (Altium, KiCad, Eagle or similar) is a plus. Strong communication skills and a desire to work with customers.

Cadence is a pivotal leader in electronic design, building upon more than 30 years of computational software expertise. The company applies its underlying Intelligent System Design strategy to deliver software, hardware and IP that turn silicon and electronic design concepts into reality.

Cadence customers are the world’s most innovative companies, delivering extraordinary electronic products from chips to boards to systems for the most dynamic market applications including consumer, hyperscale computing, 5G communications, automotive, aerospace industrial and health.

At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
