What You’ll Do Every role at the DI makes a difference. In this position, you will:
Inspire, mentor, and develop the People & Culture Advisory team, creating a culture of trust, collaboration, continuous learning, and exceptional service delivery.
Provides leadership for complex employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and performance concerns, ensuring fair, consistent, and values-based outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement of People & Culture programs, processes, systems, and annual cycles by identifying opportunities to enhance effectiveness, consistency, compliance, and employee experience.
Oversee key People & Culture operations and projects, including, HRIS initiatives, workforce data insights, policy development, and process improvement initiatives.
Champion a positive and coaching-oriented workplace culture by promoting agency values, supporting leadership development, leveraging people analytics, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen engagement, growth, and culture.
Develop people leaders through coaching, consultation, and practical guidance that strengthens leadership effectiveness and promotes a culture of accountability, trust, and service.

A diploma or degree in human resources, psychology or related field is required; a combination of education and/or work experience will be considered
CPHR candidate, designation or relevant designation is preferred
7+ years of progressive People & Culture/Human Resources experience with a focus on employee relations, leadership coaching, and building leader capability.
Advanced knowledge of employment legislation, workplace investigations, performance management, and employee relations practices
Excellent communicator and relationship-builder who understands that service excellence is delivered by employees who are both engaged and empowered
A demonstrated desire for continuous learning and development with a growth mindset
Ability to be flexible, take initiative, exercise good judgement and apply discretion while demonstrating a high level of confidentiality in all matters
Capacity to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Ability to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
Nice to Have’s
Formal workplace investigation training from a recognized institution or professional body is considered an asset
1-2 years of team leadership preferred
Aptitude for utilizing workforce data to generate meaningful insights and make recommendations for continuous improvement
