Accountant

Location: Dubai, UAE

Position Overview

We are currently hiring an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with IFRS, and supporting business operations through timely financial analysis and reporting.

We are seeking a highly competent, analytical, and detail-oriented accounting professional with strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

  • Manage the complete accounting cycle, including:General ledger maintenance Bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations Fixed asset accounting Accruals and prepayments Journal entries and accounting adjustments Month-end and year-end closing activities Audit coordination and statutory reporting support
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  • Maintain accounting records in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Monitor financial transactions and ensure proper supporting documentation.
  • Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Assist with external and internal audits by providing required schedules and documentation.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
  • UAE accounting experience is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing the full accounting cycle.
  • Thorough knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as:SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics NetSuite Microsoft Business Central or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:Pivot Tables VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP Financial reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
