  • Maintain an active pipeline of customers, suppliers and trading opportunities.

2. Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Identify reliable international and domestic sources of bitumen.
  • Negotiate purchase prices, payment terms, specifications and delivery terms with suppliers.
  • Develop relationships with refineries, producers, traders and international suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier reliability, product quality, availability and shipment schedules.
  • Coordinate product inspection, quality certificates and technical documentation.

3. Indian Market Intelligence

  • Monitor daily/weekly bitumen prices across major Indian markets and ports.
  • Track domestic refinery prices, import offers, freight, duties/taxes, port costs and regional price differences.
  • Monitor supply-demand conditions and seasonal demand.
  • Track competitor activity and customer buying behaviour.
  • Provide regular market reports and trading recommendations to management.

4. Sales & Customer Management

  • Negotiate sales prices, quantities, payment terms and delivery schedules.
  • Develop spot as well as contractual/offtake business.
  • Understand customer requirements for grades such as VG-10, VG-20, VG-30 and VG-40 and other bituminous products where applicable.
  • Manage customer quotations, orders and contracts.
  • Develop business with large-volume consumers and distributors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and procurement teams.

5. Import & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with suppliers, shipping lines, agents, ports, customs brokers, transporters and warehouses.
  • Calculate and monitor landed cost from origin to Indian destination.
  • Coordinate bulk and/or packed bitumen shipments.
  • Monitor vessel schedules, discharge operations and inland transportation.
  • Resolve operational issues affecting delivery, quality or cost.

Candidate Profile

  • Understanding of import economics and landed-cost calculations.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to independently originate and close trades.
  • Strong understanding of payment terms and customer credit risk.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
