Job Title - Game Artist

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and technically proficient Game Artist to help bring our game titles to life through compelling visual assets. You will work closely with designers, programmers and other artists to craft characters, environments, props, UI elements and animations, aligning with the artistic vision and technical constraints of the game.

Key Responsibilities

Create concept art for characters, environments, props and other game assets; iterate based on feedback and align with art direction.

Society for Experiential Graphic Design

Model and texture 3D assets or produce 2D art assets suitable for the game platform; ensure assets are production-ready and optimized for performance.

Animate characters, objects or UI elements as needed (or support animators), ensuring smooth motion, correct timing and visual consistency.

Collaborate with game designers, developers, UI/UX artists and other team members to ensure visual assets integrate properly and support gameplay, user experience and technical performance.

Maintain and enforce art style guidelines, visual consistency and quality across all assets; ensure assets comply with memory, polygon-budget, draw-call and platform constraints.

Participate in asset review sessions, respond to feedback, refine artwork, and ensure timely delivery of art milestones within project schedules.

Stay current with game-art techniques, tools (e.g., Maya, Blender, Adobe Suite, Substance Painter, ZBrush) and industry trends; suggest improvements to pipelines and workflows.

Prepare and maintain asset documentation: file naming, version control, asset metadata, integration status and hand-off to developers.

Assist with visual support for marketing, release materials, trailers or promotional assets when needed.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors degree in Fine Arts, Game Art, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 3 5 years experience as a Game Artist or similar role in the game development industry, with a portfolio showcasing 2D and/or 3D game assets.

Proficiency in industry-standard art tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya/3ds Max/Blender, Substance Painter) and familiarity with game engines (Unity, Unreal) is highly advantageous.

Strong fundamentals in colour theory, composition, lighting, anatomy, transforms, and visual storytelling.

Understanding of game development workflows: asset pipelines, optimization for platforms (mobile, console, PC), performance constraints.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to accept critique and refine artwork accordingly.

Fluency in English; Arabic language skills a plus.

Key Competencies & Behaviours

Artistic flair with a strong visual sensibility and ability to adapt to different styles while maintaining consistency.

Detail-oriented and quality-driven: ensures clean assets, correct naming/versioning, and smooth integration.

Collaborative: able to work effectively across teams (art, design, programming, producers).

Flexible and resilient: comfortable working in a fast-paced game development environment, handling tight deadlines and changing requirements.

Proactive learner: keeps skills sharp, explores new tools, and contributes to improving workflows.

What We Offer

Competitive salary and benefits aligned with UAE market and experience.

Opportunity to work on exciting game projects, from concept to release, within a dynamic interactive-entertainment environment.

Exposure to cutting-edge tools and techniques, and professional growth in game art and development.

Collaborative team culture and chance to showcase your creativity to a global audience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
