Job Title – Junior Legal – Assistant Manager Location: Dubai, UAE

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Legal – Assistant Manager to support legal and compliance functions within a dynamic shipping and logistics environment. The role involves handling contract management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing legal support across business operations while mitigating risks and safeguarding organizational interests.

Key Responsibilities Legal Support & AdvisoryProvide legal support to internal departments on day-to-day business matters.Assist in interpreting laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.Support management with legal advice on operational and commercial issues.Ensure legal risks are identified and mitigated effectively. Contract ManagementDraft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.Ensure contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.Maintain and manage a centralized contract repository.Monitor contract terms, renewals, and obligations. Compliance & Regulatory AffairsEnsure compliance with UAE laws, maritime regulations, and corporate policies.Assist in implementing and maintaining compliance frameworks.Monitor regulatory changes and advise on necessary actions.Support internal audits and compliance reviews. Dispute Resolution & Risk ManagementAssist in handling legal disputes, claims, and litigation matters.Coordinate with external legal counsel when required.Support in preparing legal documentation and case materials.Identify potential legal risks and recommend preventive measures. Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of legal documents and case files.Prepare legal reports, summaries, and documentation for management.Ensure proper documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.Track ongoing legal matters and provide status updates. Coordination & Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate with internal departments such as operations, finance, and HR.Liaise with external stakeholders including legal advisors and regulatory authorities.Ensure smooth communication and coordination on legal matters.Support cross-functional initiatives from a legal perspective.

Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or a related field.3–6 years of experience in legal roles, preferably within shipping, logistics, or corporate environments.Knowledge of UAE laws and maritime regulations is preferred.
