The posting

Job Title – Sales Executive Location: Dubai, UAE

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Sales Executive to develop new business, manage existing customer relationships, and drive sales of industrial and specialty chemical products across assigned markets.

The role will involve identifying new customers, understanding technical requirements, preparing quotations, negotiating commercial terms, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful order execution. The ideal candidate should have experience in B2B sales, chemical distribution, industrial products, or related sectors and be comfortable working with customers across multiple industries.

The business operates across a broad portfolio serving industries including paints & coatings, construction, plastics, rubber, lubricants, water treatment, pharmaceuticals, personal care, metal finishing, and petrochemicals.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned industries and territories.
  • Generate leads through market research, networking, referrals, industry events, and direct customer outreach.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, product discussions, and commercial negotiations.
  • Achieve assigned sales, revenue, volume, and margin targets.
  • Expand the customer base across existing and emerging market segments.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Manage relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for account growth.
  • Understand customer requirements, production processes, purchasing patterns, and technical challenges.
  • Provide timely responses to product inquiries and commercial requests.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop long-term relationships with procurement, technical, production, R&D, and senior management contacts.

Product & Technical Sales

  • Understand the technical applications and commercial benefits of assigned chemical products.
  • Recommend suitable products based on customer requirements and applications.
  • Coordinate with technical teams for product recommendations, trials, samples, and formulation support.
  • Arrange product samples and support customer testing and evaluation.
  • Communicate product specifications, technical datasheets, certifications, and relevant documentation.

The organization provides value-added services including formulation advice, market analysis, laboratory support, troubleshooting, customized blending, repackaging, and technical consultancy, making a consultative approach to chemical sales particularly relevant.

Quotations & Commercial Activities

  • Prepare quotations and commercial proposals based on customer requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
  • Monitor market pricing and competitor activity.
  • Work with management to develop competitive pricing strategies while protecting margins.
  • Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer pricing, quotations, and commercial agreements.

Order Management & Coordination

  • Coordinate confirmed orders with internal sales, logistics, warehouse, finance, and technical teams.
  • Monitor order processing and delivery status.
  • Ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated to relevant departments.
  • Follow up on shipment schedules, documentation, and delivery timelines.
  • Resolve order-related issues and communicate updates to customers.

The business provides services covering bulk shipments, door-to-door logistics, supply-chain support, warehousing, blending, repackaging, and toll manufacturing, so close coordination between sales and operations will be an important part of the position.

Market Development

  • Conduct market research to identify new applications, customers, products, and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, customer demand, and pricing movements.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new products into existing accounts.
  • Develop territory and account plans to increase market penetration.
  • Attend exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and industry networking events.

Sales Reporting & CRM

  • Maintain accurate customer, lead, opportunity, quotation, and sales records.
  • Update CRM and sales-management systems regularly.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Track sales performance against targets and forecasts.
  • Provide management with market feedback, competitor intelligence, and customer insights.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within chemical distribution, specialty chemicals, industrial products, or related sectors.
  • Experience selling to manufacturing or industrial customers is highly preferred.
  • Technical understanding of chemical products and their industrial applications is an advantage.
  • UAE/GCC market experience is preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business.
  • UAE driving license is an advantage.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Consultative and technical selling
  • Lead generation and pipeline management
  • Negotiation and commercial skills
  • Product and application knowledge

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
