The posting

Job Description: Sales Manager – Staffing ( Engineering Division )

Department: Business Development / Sales

Location: Dubai, UAE

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager – Staffing Sector (Engineering Division) to lead client acquisition and account growth within our engineering staffing vertical. This role is responsible for building relationships with hiring managers, HR leaders, and procurement teams at companies that require contract, contract-to-hire, and permanent placement talent across engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, electrical, manufacturing, industrial, and related fields). The ideal candidate combines a strong sales hunter mentality with a genuine understanding of the engineering talent market and staffing industry dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new client accounts within the engineering sector requiring staffing and recruitment services (contract, contract-to-hire, direct hire, and RPO where applicable)
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for the engineering division
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Bullhorn, Salesforce) — tracking leads, opportunities, and conversion rates
  • Conduct client needs assessments to understand hiring requirements, workforce planning challenges, and staffing pain points
  • Negotiate contract terms, bill rates, markups, and service agreements with new and existing clients
  • Partner closely with recruitment/delivery teams to ensure job orders are filled accurately and within client timelines
  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships to drive repeat business, account penetration, and long-term partnerships
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build market presence and generate leads
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and salary/bill-rate benchmarks within the engineering staffing space
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline reviews to senior leadership
  • Mentor and potentially manage junior business development representatives or account managers as the division scales
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and client-specific requirements (safety certifications, background checks, etc., common in engineering environments)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 2–3 years specifically in staffing/recruitment sales, ideally within engineering, industrial, or technical sectors
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas and growing new business
  • Strong understanding of staffing business models (markup, bill rate/pay rate structures, contract vs. permanent placement)
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience using CRM/ATS platforms (Bullhorn, Salesforce, JobDiva, or similar)
  • Ability to travel locally/regionally for client meetings as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing network of contacts within engineering, manufacturing, or industrial client base
  • Experience selling into sectors such as construction, infrastructure, automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing
  • Familiarity with engineering job titles, certifications, and technical hiring requirements
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring a small sales/BD team

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • New client accounts opened per quarter
  • Revenue/gross margin generated from engineering division
  • Job order fill rate and average time-to-fill (in partnership with recruiting team)
  • Client retention and account growth rate
  • Pipeline value and conversion rate

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary + uncapped commission/bonus structure tied to revenue and gross margin

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
