Job Description: Senior Sales Manager – Staffing (Oil & Gas Division)

Department: Business Development / Sales

Location: Dubai, UAE

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a results-oriented Senior Sales Manager – Staffing Sector (Oil & Gas Division) to drive new business development and manage key client relationships within the oil & gas staffing sector. This role requires deep familiarity with upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, along with the specialized workforce needs of E&P companies, EPC contractors, refineries, and oilfield service providers. The successful candidate will be a strategic relationship-builder capable of navigating long sales cycles, complex procurement processes, and safety-sensitive hiring environments typical of the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and win new client accounts within the oil & gas industry — including E&P operators, EPC firms, refineries, midstream/pipeline companies, and oilfield service providers — for contract, contract-to-hire, and permanent staffing solutions
  • Develop and execute a sector-specific sales strategy to achieve revenue and margin targets for the O&G division
  • Build a strong sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, RFP responses, and industry networking
  • Understand and navigate client procurement processes, including MSA/vendor agreement negotiations and preferred supplier list (PSL) applications common in the energy sector
  • Negotiate bill rates, markups, and contract terms in line with market conditions and company margin targets
  • Collaborate with recruiting/delivery teams to ensure roles (e.g., engineers, technicians, project managers, HSE specialists, skilled trades) are filled with qualified, compliant candidates
  • Stay current on oil & gas market cycles, commodity price impacts on hiring demand, and regional project activity (onshore/offshore, greenfield/brownfield)
  • Ensure client and candidate compliance with industry-specific requirements (safety certifications, drug/alcohol testing policies, TWIC cards, offshore survival training, etc., where applicable)
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade associations, and networking events (e.g., OTC, SPE events, regional energy chambers)
  • Track and report on pipeline activity, win/loss analysis, and account performance using CRM tools
  • Build long-term strategic partnerships with key accounts to drive repeat and expanded business
  • Mentor junior sales/BD staff supporting the division as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with meaningful experience in staffing/recruitment sales within the oil & gas or broader energy sector
  • Solid understanding of oil & gas industry structure (upstream/midstream/downstream) and typical workforce needs
  • Proven ability to manage long, complex sales cycles and navigate corporate procurement/vendor management processes
  • Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills
  • Experience with CRM/ATS systems (Bullhorn, Salesforce, JobDiva, or similar)
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, including field locations, as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships/network within oil & gas operators, EPCs, or oilfield service companies
  • Familiarity with safety compliance standards relevant to O&G hiring (ISNetworld, Veriforce, TWIC, etc.)
  • Experience staffing technical/engineering, HSE, project controls, or skilled trades roles within energy projects
  • Understanding of regional O&G market dynamics (e.g., Permian Basin, Gulf Coast, international markets, as relevant to the business)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • New client accounts and PSL/vendor approvals secured per quarter
  • Revenue/gross margin generated from O&G division
  • Job order fill rate and time-to-fill for energy-sector roles
  • Client retention, contract renewals, and account expansion
  • Pipeline value, RFP win rate, and sales cycle efficiency

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
