The posting

Role Overview

Cambridge Technology is seeking an experienced SEO, AEO & GEO Specialist to lead the organic search strategy across all Cambridge brands and digital properties. The role will strengthen visibility across traditional search engines, answer engines, and AI-powered discovery platforms, translating business priorities into measurable organic growth.

This strategic and hands-on position encompasses technical, on-page, off-page, local, and international SEO, along with performance analytics and search governance. The specialist will collaborate with internal marketing, content, design, product, and development teams to establish priorities, guide implementation, and improve search visibility, qualified website traffic, and lead generation.

The specialist will also be responsible for managing Google Analytics dashboards, monitoring website performance, and presenting week-on-week analytical reports and actionable insights to relevant internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an integrated SEO, AEO, and GEO strategy across all company brands, websites, products, and target markets.
  • Conduct keyword research, search-intent analysis, competitor research, and content-gap analysis to identify organic growth opportunities.
  • Lead technical SEO audits covering crawlability, indexation, website architecture, redirects, structured data, page speed, mobile usability, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Define on-page optimization recommendations for page structure, metadata, headings, internal linking, schema markup, and content coverage.
  • Create prioritized SEO roadmaps and provide clear implementation requirements to internal marketing, content, design, product, and development teams.
  • Develop off-page SEO strategies covering backlink quality, link acquisition, brand mentions, digital PR opportunities, and topical authority.
  • Plan and guide local and international SEO initiatives, including business profiles, citations, localized pages, geographic targeting, localization, and hreflang.
  • Improve visibility across answer engines and generative AI platforms—including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Bing Copilot, and Perplexity—through structured, authoritative, and machine-readable content recommendations.
  • Monitor organic rankings, qualified traffic, leads, conversions, technical health, backlinks, and AI-search visibility across brands and markets.
  • Provide monthly performance reports and quarterly strategic recommendations based on search trends, platform changes, competitive movement, and business priorities.
  • Own the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Google Analytics 4 dashboards covering website traffic, acquisition channels, user engagement, landing-page performance, events, conversions, and lead-generation activity.
  • Analyze and present website performance on a week-on-week basis, highlighting key movements, traffic trends, conversion changes, potential issues, and recommended actions. Ensure that Google Analytics events, conversions, UTM parameters, and reporting configurations are accurately implemented and maintained.

Required Qualifications

  • Min. 6 years of hands-on experience in SEO, including ownership of multi-site or multi-brand organic search programs.
  • Strong command of technical SEO, on-page SEO, off-page SEO, local SEO, and international SEO.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute data-led organic search strategies tied to traffic, lead generation, and business outcomes.
  • Practical knowledge of AEO and GEO, including optimization for AI-generated answers, conversational search, entity signals, structured data, and source citation.
  • Strong understanding of search intent, information architecture, content ecosystems, link authority, crawling, indexation, and ranking systems.
  • Ability to audit websites, diagnose performance issues, write clear recommendations, and validate technical implementations.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4, including dashboard creation, event and conversion tracking, traffic-source analysis, audience segmentation, UTM tracking, attribution, and website-performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret analytics data, identify meaningful trends and anomalies, and present clear week-on-week findings and recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, prioritization, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Tools and Platforms

The successful candidate should have hands-on proficiency with major SEO and analytics platforms, including most of the following:

  • Search and analytics: Google Search Console, advanced proficiency in Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Looker Studio, including the ability to build, maintain, and present comprehensive website-performance dashboards.
  • Research and competitive intelligence: Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Trends, Keyword Planner, and equivalent enterprise SEO platforms.
  • Technical auditing: Screaming Frog SEO Spider, Sitebulb, PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, Chrome DevTools, and log-file analysis tools.
  • Structured data and validation: Schema.org, Google Rich Results Test, Schema Markup Validator, and related testing utilities.
  • Content and publishing ecosystems: Working familiarity with Webflow, WordPress or comparable CMS platforms, and CRM/marketing platforms such as HubSpot.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
