ULT Teachers’ Pay Range: £36,400-£53,040 (pay award pending) plus TLR1

Start date: Easter 2027

We are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a motivated, passionate and committed Head of English from Easter 2027. This is a great opportunity for an outstanding teacher of English who is ready to take the next step in their career.

You have a close eye to detail and the ability to manage a large team whilst retaining the highest possible standards. You are incredibly tenacious with a high level of emotional intelligence and are fully committed to providing an excellent learning experience for students at our school.

Candidates should:

  • Be an outstanding classroom practitioner
  • Have the ability to lead, coach and motivate staff within a performance management framework, including professional development and effective management of underperformance
  • Have high expectations of students in terms of learning, achievement and behaviour
  • Have enthusiasm for developing innovative and creative approaches to learning, teaching and student participation
  • Have a sound subject knowledge which you can utilise to challenge all students
  • Have an ability to engage and motivate students
