  • Lead the development, improvement and implementation of operational processes, guidance and documentation, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage department inboxes and operational queries, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of key systems and platforms including Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Siebel, Jotform and Contentful
  • Lead and support a variety of projects, ensuring milestones are achieved and stakeholders remain engaged throughout.
  • Analyse operational data and produce insightful reports and presentations that inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with operational colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day delivery of volunteering operations, including providing cover for key operational activities when required.
  • Support and guide colleagues, acting as a positive role model within the team and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive working environment.
  • Build a strong understanding of all areas within the Volunteer Proposition to support cross-functional working.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant volunteering legislation and organisational policies and procedures.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience managing or supporting the implementation of systems, processes, or operational improvements.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience supporting or providing guidance to colleagues and team members.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • The ability to adapt and remain effective in a fast-changing environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and a genuine commitment to team success.
  • Strong self-awareness and a desire to continually learn and develop.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills desirable.

Eligibility criteria

Internal candidates should ideally have completed their 6-month ‘getting started’ period before applying for other roles. You should also advise your current line manager at the point you make an internal application, or at the latest, at the point of being invited for an interview.

All internal candidates applying for a secondment, must have:

o completed their getting started period

o discussed their intention to apply and gained approval to apply with their line manager

o been in their substantive (home) role for at least 6 months (this is only applicable if you have previously been on secondment)

If you do not confirm that you meet these requirements, we will not be able to progress your application.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
