Your role within Equities Operations provides opportunities to provide best in class service to our institutional client base. Through client configuration and optimization, you are directly engaged in solving the most challenging and pressing problems for our clients.

OUR IMPACT

Operations partners with all areas of Goldman Sachs to deliver our institutional, consumer and asset management businesses and to provide a seamless experience for our clients. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that enables business to flow.

We manage and process our clients’ business, including onboarding, post-trade processing and regulatory compliance. Our teams work closely across the firm to develop and deliver new products and services, while mitigating operational risk and enhancing the client experience. We drive process and technology change to scale and automate our businesses.

FICC and Equities Operations provides client onboarding support, post-trade transaction services, and post-trade portfolio services for FICC and Equities. Client Experience Operations manages key client relationships to enhance the client experience front to back. We support the FICC and Equities businesses to develop and deliver new products, services, and markets.

Strategic Analytics and Configuration Team works directly with engineering, operations, trading, and client services teams in Equities to optimize client configurations. We excel at finding commercial solutions that meet our clients’ needs without compromising risk and control.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Planning and ensuring delivery for strategic projects
  • Communicating status to key stakeholders and management
  • Escalating and mitigating execution risks/issues to minimize impacts to projects
  • Leveraging technology and tools to streamline processes
  • Tap into your investigative skills to find answers to client issues and solutions for problems that arise daily and socialize opportunities for improvements
  • Investigate straight through processing rates to identify solutions, and escalate issues as they arise
  • Analyze and improve processes and procedures with an eye to reducing risk and eliminating repetitive effort
  • Help influence client behavior to achieve superior operational and client service outcomes
  • Make recommendations on process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Coaching the junior team members and providing guidance

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of prior work experience in a relevant field
  • Highly motivated with strong academic background
  • Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to multi‐task and prioritize accordingly
  • Thrives in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment, with a passion to learn at an exponential pace
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow‐through
  • Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Constant drive to implement process improvement and challenge inefficiencies
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Ability to self‐direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments
  • Integrity, ethical standards, and sound judgment
  • Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and global stakeholders
