Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CANYON RANCH COLLEAGUE:

  • Supervise and lead the Security team in daily operations, providing guidance, support, and leadership in the absence of Security Management.
  • Monitor the property through regular patrols, security gate duties, and surveillance systems to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and colleagues.
  • Respond to security-related concerns, incidents, and emergencies, utilizing sound judgment and established procedures to resolve situations effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and established security protocols, including the proper operation of medical, intrusion, and fire alarm systems.
  • Provide exceptional guest service while fostering a welcoming, safe, and secure environment that reflects the Canyon Ranch mission and luxury hospitality standards.
  • Assist with team training, scheduling, performance management, and administrative responsibilities while maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information appropriately.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent, along with 3–5 years of experience in security or a related field.
  • Previous security or law enforcement experience is required, with experience in a hospitality or luxury service environment preferred.
  • A minimum age of 21, at least two years of licensed driving experience, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • CPR and First Aid certification within the first three (3) months of employment.
  • The ability to operate medical, fire alarm, and communications equipment, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant computer systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, remain composed under pressure, and effectively prevent or respond to stressful situations and emergencies.
