Role Purpose

The Kondor+ Integration, Data & Database Consultant will be responsible for the integration, data migration and database-related activities required as part of the Kondor+ / Fusion Kondor upgrade.

The role will analyse the existing Kondor+ integration and data landscape, assess impacts introduced by the target Kondor+ release, implement or coordinate required interface changes, support database upgrade/migration activities, and ensure the completeness and integrity of data throughout the upgrade.

The consultant will work closely with the Kondor+ Solution Architect, Technical Consultants, Functional Consultants, client DBA/infrastructure teams and downstream application owners.

Key Responsibilities

Kondor+ Integration

  • Analyse the existing Kondor+ integration landscape, covering inbound and outbound interfaces.
  • Assess the impact of the Kondor+ upgrade on existing interfaces, APIs, message structures, file exchanges and integration components.
  • Design and implement or coordinate required modifications to Kondor+ interfaces.
  • Support integration between Kondor+ and surrounding systems such as:
  • Market data providers
  • Electronic trading platforms
  • Payment and settlement systems
  • SWIFT/messaging platforms
  • Core banking systems
  • General Ledger and accounting platforms
  • Risk and regulatory systems
  • Data warehouses and reporting platforms
  • Analyse and troubleshoot failed Kondor+ interfaces and data-processing issues.
  • Validate end-to-end STP flows through Kondor+ and downstream applications.
  • Support API, messaging, middleware and file-based integrations used by Kondor+.
  • Support interface reconciliation during SIT, UAT, migration rehearsals and production cutover.

Kondor+ Data Migration & Reconciliation

  • Analyse the Kondor+ data landscape and identify data impacted by the upgrade.
  • Define the data migration/conversion approach together with the Kondor+ Solution Architect and functional SMEs.
  • Support migration or conversion of Kondor+ static/reference and transactional data where required.
  • Analyse and validate Kondor+ data structures and dependencies.
  • Develop SQL queries and reconciliation controls to validate migrated/upgraded data.
  • Reconcile relevant data between source and target Kondor+ environments, including:
  • Trades and transactions
  • Static/reference data
  • Positions
  • Cashflows
  • Market data where applicable
  • Valuations
  • Accounting balances/postings
  • Interface data
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies between existing and upgraded Kondor+ environments.
  • Support migration dry runs and cutover rehearsals.
  • Define data validation and reconciliation criteria for production migration.
  • Support post-go-live data reconciliation and hypercare.

Kondor+ Database

  • Analyse the existing Kondor+ database environment and dependencies.
  • Support database-related prerequisites for the Kondor+ target release.
  • Support execution and validation of Kondor+ database upgrade/conversion scripts.
  • Analyse Kondor+ database schemas, tables and data relationships as required for troubleshooting, integration and reconciliation.
  • Develop SQL scripts and queries supporting migration, testing and reconciliation.
  • Support database backup, restore and rollback activities in collaboration with the client's DBA team.
  • Identify database-related performance issues affecting Kondor+ processing.
  • Support performance analysis of critical Kondor+ processes, including batch and EOD processing.
  • Coordinate with client DBAs on database configuration, capacity, performance and operational requirements.

Required Experience

  • Strong hands-on technical experience with Kondor+ / Fusion Kondor / Finastra Kondor.
  • Previous experience working on at least one Kondor+ implementation, upgrade or migration.
  • Demonstrable experience with Kondor+ interfaces and integration mechanisms.
  • Good understanding of the Kondor+ database/data model and data structures.
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to independently interrogate and reconcile Kondor+ data.
  • Experience analysing Kondor+ trade, static/reference, position and/or accounting data.
  • Experience troubleshooting data and integration issues across Kondor+ and surrounding systems.
  • Experience with APIs, messaging/middleware and file-based integration patterns used within Kondor environments.
  • Understanding of treasury products and end-to-end trade lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting SIT, UAT, migration rehearsals and production cutovers for Kondor+.

Highly Desirable

  • Previous Kondor+ version upgrade experience.
  • Experience migrating between different Kondor+ releases and/or technical architectures.
  • Experience with the specific database technology used by the client's Kondor+ installation.
  • SWIFT / ISO 20022 integration experience.
  • Experience integrating Kondor+ with market data, payment/settlement, GL/accounting, risk and data warehouse platforms.
  • Experience with Kondor+ APIs and modern integration patterns.
  • Experience with large-volume trade/data reconciliation.
  • Experience troubleshooting Kondor+ EOD/batch-processing performance.
