Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Data Analyst to support complex data analysis, system integration, and operational improvement initiatives within a large-scale financial services environment.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical and analytical capabilities with a consulting mindset, demonstrating the ability to understand business challenges, investigate complex data issues, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

The role involves working across multiple systems and data sources, collaborating with business and technology stakeholders, and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed data analysis across enterprise applications, databases, and integrated systems.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, primarily using PostgreSQL, to extract, analyze, and validate data.
  • Use Splunk to investigate application logs, identify anomalies, troubleshoot data discrepancies, and support root cause analysis.
  • Analyze Salesforce data structures, relationships, and data flows to support business and operational requirements.
  • Conduct data mapping, reconciliation, and validation between different systems and data sources.
  • Investigate data quality issues, identify root causes, and recommend sustainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, architects, and operational teams to understand requirements and resolve complex issues.
  • Translate business needs into technical analysis and clear, actionable insights.
  • Prepare analytical documentation, communicate findings, and present recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, operational efficiency, and existing processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Technical Data Analyst, Data Analyst, or technically focused Business Analyst in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong SQL skills, including advanced queries, joins, aggregations, and data validation.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or comparable relational database technologies.
  • Practical experience using Splunk for log analysis, troubleshooting, and investigation.
  • Experience working with Salesforce data, including understanding its data model, objects, and relationships.
  • Strong understanding of data integration, data mapping, reconciliation, and data quality principles.
  • Ability to investigate complex issues across multiple systems and identify dependencies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical findings in business terms.
  • Experience working in Agile, cross-functional delivery environments.

Consulting & Stakeholder Management

  • Strong consulting mindset, with the ability to approach challenges from both business and technical perspectives.
  • Confidence in engaging stakeholders, clarifying ambiguous requirements, and challenging assumptions constructively.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and proactively drive issues toward resolution.
  • Structured approach to problem-solving, with a focus on business value and practical outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Adaptability and comfort working in dynamic environments with evolving priorities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in banking, payments, fintech, or financial services.
  • Knowledge of payment processing, transaction lifecycles, or merchant onboarding.
  • Experience with Salesforce SOQL, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
  • Experience with incident investigation, production support, or root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile delivery methodologies.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A hands-on, technically strong Data Analyst who is comfortable working directly with databases, application logs, and enterprise data platforms. The candidate should be capable of investigating complex cross-system issues while maintaining a broader understanding of business processes and stakeholder expectations.

B2B cooperation in a hybrid model, with the option to provide services from the Warsaw office to the extent agreed based on project needs.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
