Summary
The pharmacy resident will build upon the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of acute, ambulatory and community clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions.Eligible to take the NC Pharmacy Licensing examination upon start of employment. Licensed as a pharmacist by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP) by October 1 of residency year. Good communication skills, both oral and written; interpersonal skills that promote cooperative peer behavior; knowledge of drugs and how they act and interact; knowledge of Pharmacy laws (state and national).Visual acuity to review prescriptions, medication labels, and reports. Manual dexterity to use computer Speaking and hearing to converse with co-workers, physicians and patients.
