You are a category manager and strategic sourcing leader who combines commercial acumen, analytical thinking, and strong relationship management skills to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

I am the person Capital Group is looking for.

Category Strategy & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Develop and execute category strategies and multi-year roadmaps aligned with Enterprise priorities and Capital Group's global human resources, facilities, and real estate objectives.
  • Use spend data, supplier intelligence, and market insights to identify opportunities for value creation, risk mitigation, and operational improvement, and turn them into actionable sourcing recommendations.
  • Build trusted relationships with business leaders and cross-functional partners across regions to understand demand, challenge requirements, and align priorities.
  • Influence business decisions by presenting data-driven category strategies, sourcing recommendations, supplier performance results, and market trends.

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Lead sourcing initiatives across assigned categories, including sourcing strategy, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and award recommendations that deliver commercial value and business outcomes.
  • Manage supplier performance through governance processes, scorecards, business reviews, and issue resolution.

Design & Construction Procurement

  • Lead global sourcing for capital projects, including consultants, design services, owner's representative services, furniture, general contractors, and specialty vendors.
  • Partner with project teams to set procurement strategies that support project delivery while balancing cost, quality, schedule, risk, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Manage competitive RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, including bid evaluations, supplier interviews, and recommendation packages.
  • Support project budgeting and forecasting through market pricing, benchmarking, and procurement planning.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure sourcing activities comply with Capital Group procurement policies, delegated authority requirements, and financial controls, with audit-ready documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate supplier, commercial, operational, and geopolitical risks.
  • Promote ethical, transparent sourcing and support supplier diversity, sustainability, and corporate responsibility initiatives where appropriate.

People Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Category Specialists and/or contractors, setting clear priorities and providing ongoing feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performing team environment.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive consistent adoption of sourcing methodologies, tools, and best practices, and help evolve Enterprise Sourcing Office capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sourcing effectiveness and stakeholder experience.
  • Leverage approved technologies and AI-enabled solutions to enhance productivity, insights, and decision-making.

Skills / Qualifications

Required

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
