Help shape better digital experiences for TV Licensing customers.

Are you passionate about improving online experiences, turning customer insight into action and delivering meaningful digital change? Join Capita as a Senior Product Owner - Web & Experimentation and take a leading role in developing TV Licensing’s day-to-day digital services.

You’ll combine hands-on operational ownership with the opportunity to influence priorities and drive improvements across our website and experimentation services. Working with senior stakeholders, you’ll help make self-service simpler and create more joined-up customer experiences across channels.

With web experimentation, user testing and content management at the heart of the role, this is an opportunity to turn your digital expertise into measurable improvements for customers and the business.

Job title:

Senior Product Owner - Web & Experimentation

Job Description:

About TVL

TV Licensing (TVL) helps customers check whether they need a TV Licence, pay or renew their licence, and manage their details online. Capita administers TV Licensing services in the UK on behalf of the BBC, with a focus on improving customer experience and operational efficiency.

In this role, you’ll help develop the digital services that support those customer journeys, bringing together customer insight, experimentation and a practical focus on continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the day-to-day digital operation, overseeing website content, experimentation and user experience optimisation to support effective customer journeys.
  • Partner with internal and external senior stakeholders to grow and develop TV Licensing’s business-as-usual digital services.
  • Develop and own your operational delivery, translating the digital strategy into action.
  • Influence delivery of the digital strategy while balancing wider business challenges and priorities.
  • Act as a lead subject matter expert for digital optimisation and business change, championing a digital-first approach where appropriate.
  • Use your understanding of digital channel performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead the prioritisation of digital projects, aligning them with wider business change priorities.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to ensure projects are fully costed and supported by clear, measurable benefits.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Resource Planning teams to support a joined-up approach to benefits realisation.

What you’ll bring

  • The ability to manage and co-ordinate requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong prioritisation skills, balancing work across your team and the wider business.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital products and services, with the expertise to act as a digital subject matter expert.
  • Essential experience of owning and delivering web experimentation, user testing and content management.
  • Excellent knowledge of TV Licensing processes and systems, together with at least 12 months’ digital experience.
  • A successful track record in relationship management and experience of working with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, alongside experience of team management.

What’s in it for you?

  • A competitive salary: Up to £55,000 (DOE) per year.
  • Time to recharge: 23 days’ holiday, rising to 29, with the opportunity to buy extra leave.
  • Give something back: take a paid day to volunteer for our charity partners or a cause of your choice.
  • Support for you and your family: auto-enrolment in our company pension, life assurance, a cycle2work scheme, 15 weeks’ fully paid maternity, adoption and shared parental leave, and two weeks’ paternity pay.
  • Benefits to suit your lifestyle: voluntary discounts and offers across retail, socialising, health and wellbeing, travel and technology.
  • Connect and belong: access to Employee Network Groups representing every strand of diversity, with an open, inclusive space to connect and learn from colleagues.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
