The ideal candidate brings strong expertise across both enterprise networking (Cisco, Palo Alto) and systems engineering (Windows/Linux, virtualization, cloud), and understands the unique requirements of GMP-regulated environments, including system validation, data integrity, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure across office and laboratory environments
  • Configure and maintain Cisco switches and wireless, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto firewalls, and Prisma

  • Administer Windows Server and Active Directory environments
  • Manage backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions
  • Lead infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
  • Architect and support cloud infrastructure and networking in AWS and/or Azure
  • Maintain hybrid connectivity between on-prem, cloud, and SaaS platforms (e.g., Veeva, NetSuite)
  • Support cloud migrations and optimize cost, performance, and reliability of cloud resources
  • Implement and maintain network and system security controls and best practices
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams on vulnerability management and remediation
  • Manage identity and access controls (SSO, MFA, RBAC)
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, SOX, and FDA requirements
  • Partner with Quality and Compliance teams on validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Implement, maintain, and use monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., SolarWinds) to troubleshoot network and system performance
  • Automate repetitive tasks using scripting (PowerShell)
  • Perform root cause analysis and performance tuning
  • Maintain accurate network diagrams, system documentation, SOPs, and audit-ready records
  • Act as Tier 3 escalation point for complex network and infrastructure issues
  • Participate in incident response and change management processes
  • Partner with Help Desk, Cybersecurity, and business teams to support critical systems and IT projects
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–8+ years of experience in network and/or systems engineering within regulated or enterprise environments
  • Strong networking knowledge, including:
  • Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs
  • Cisco switching, wireless, and Cisco ISE

  • VMware (VCP)
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets, ExpressRoute/VPN Gateway)
  • Familiarity with lab environments, including instrument connectivity and OT networks
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune

Key Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex systems
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with scientists, lab managers, compliance teams, and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent documentation skills with an emphasis on audit readiness
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data integrity and system reliability

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
