A little about the role

Reporting to the Demand Manager within Technology & Information, you'll support the review and development of new and existing business processes through requirements elicitation, documentation, design validation and solution implementation.

You'll work closely with stakeholders and delivery teams to analyse current and future-state processes, shape solution options, support testing and change activities, and maintain clear requirements of traceability across the software development lifecycle. You'll be comfortable moving between operational improvements, project delivery and business-led change as priorities evolve.

The role also offers the opportunity to coordinate small projects and system enhancements from concept through to delivery. This includes defining scope, delivery planning, progress monitoring, coordinating resources, issue management, and stakeholder updates.

What you'll bring

You're an experienced Business Analyst who brings strong analytical and problem-solving capability, communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, and confidently translates between business and technical teams. are comfortable working across BAU, technology projects, cyber initiatives and broader business change as priorities evolve.

  • Strong knowledge of business analysis techniques, process improvement, change management, and waterfall and agile delivery methods.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and eliciting functional and non-functional requirements, define acceptance criteria and maintain traceability through design, development, testing and implementation.
  • Ability to document current-state and future-state processes and identify change impacts.
  • Ability to work with solution architects and delivery teams to assess solution options and validate designs against business requirements, technical constraints and intended outcomes.
  • Demonstrateg capability to collaborate effectively with developers, testers, solution architects, change teams and business stakeholders throughout delivery.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Excel, Visio, Copilot, Miro and Word or comparable tools.

What's essential

  • At least five years' experience in a similar role, directly contributing to operational improvements, technology projects or business initiatives involving complex processes and systems.
  • At least five years' experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience defining acceptance criteria and supporting or leading UAT and production verification activities to confirm solutions meet business requirements and are ready for release.
  • Fluency using Jira to manage a product or project backlog and board.
  • Good understanding of SQL and data analysis, with the ability to interrogate data, validate assumptions and translate insights into evidence-based requirements and recommendations.
  • Ability to present complex analysis, requirements and recommendations clearly to both business and technical audiences.

Highly regarded

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, FinPower, Sitecore, MuleSoft or Power BI.
  • Experience in lending, financial services, transactional finance or related regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting cyber security, identity, risk, compliance or other technology initiatives within a cross-functional delivery environment.
  • Project coordination skills.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a technical, IT or business-related discipline.
