Terminal Team Lead MOBIS - Markham, ON Hourly Pay Rate: $23.68 Shift: 11 am - 7:30 pm   Cardinal Couriers is looking for a reliable Team Lead to join our Markham Operations team. This is a physically demanding position in a fast‑paced warehouse setting. Responsibilities and Duties 

Provide leadership and supervision to warehouse employees, ensuring productivity and policy compliance. Manage all employees on the warehouse floor while maintaining a safe working environment. Oversee daily operations as outlined by the Supervisor; support the Supervisor on duty and cover operational areas as required. Prioritize workloads, assign tasks, and ensure completion within required timelines; conduct regular audits to prevent mis-sorts. Assist with loading and unloading outbound shipments. Review incoming deliveries of materials for accuracy and condition. Ensure all scheduled daily orders are completed accurately and shipped on time. Maintain inventory accuracy and proper sorting standards throughout the warehouse. Assist in the development and implementation of processes and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency. Promote quality standards across the team while ensuring daily production goals are met. Report damages, complete nonconformance reports, and communicate operational issues and concerns to the Supervisor. Monitor employee performance, provide coaching and guidance, and recommend corrective or disciplinary action when required. Receive products using RF technology, ensure 100% scanning compliance, and train staff on proper procedures and policies. Perform warehouse associate and forklift operator duties as needed. Coordinate manpower allocation and critical operational priorities with Supervisors and Management. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, communicating concerns and documenting behaviors as required. Assist management on duty with day-to-day warehouse associate needs. Manage the movement and transfer of freight and materials on the dock. Monitor operations within the assigned area to ensure efficiency and service level agreements are met. Manage attendance, absenteeism, and overtime while maintaining accurate records for the assigned area. Ensure cleanliness of the assigned area and overall warehouse; assign cleaning duties as required. Communicate staffng requirements and identify overstaffed areas for potential labor adjustments. Take responsibility for assigned area performance, including productivity, scanning accuracy, and employee output. Report on building and equipment damage promptly. Ensure required supplies are available for staff and request replenishment as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Previous warehouse leadership or team lead experience preferred.Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes. Experience using RF scanning technology. Ability to lead, motivate, and coach employees in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet operational deadlines. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Physically capable of performing warehouse duties, including lifting and operating equipment as required. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work flexible duties within assig  Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
