Payment: $250 USD per completed and approved dataset.

Referral Bonus: $50 USD for each referred participant who completes the project and has their dataset approved.

About the Project

Careerflow Human Data Labs is looking for US-based software engineers and other working professionals to participate in a short-term paid financial data project.

This is a project-based data opportunity, not a software engineering position. We're specifically looking for working professionals who regularly use multiple personal financial apps and services.

You'll export historical data from financial services you already use, remove personally identifiable information using a provided privacy tool on your own device, and submit the redacted files for quality review.

What You'll Do

  • Sign up and complete project onboarding and consent requirements through the designated project platform.
  • Export data directly from financial apps and accounts that you personally use.
  • Provide data from at least 1 service in each of the 5 mandatory categories: Banking & Neobanks Credit Cards Payments, P2P & Wallets Credit Score & Identity Tax Filing
  • Provide exports from at least 2 additional eligible financial apps/services, bringing your submission to a minimum of 7 apps/services total.
  • Submit 2 self-created financial artifacts, such as budget spreadsheets, tax workbooks, or net-worth/debt trackers.
  • Provide at least 2 years of historical data, with a transaction within the last 60 days.
  • Make sure your exports cover matching time periods across your financial services.
  • Use the provided PII-redaction tool to remove personal and banking identifiers on your own device before uploading.
  • Review and resubmit files if they are returned for rework during quality review.

Submissions must be native exports such as CSV, PDF, XLSX, OFX, or equivalent. Screenshots, synthetic or AI-generated files, scraped information, account credentials, and live data feeds are not accepted.

Examples of Eligible Financial Apps and Services

  • Banking: Chase, Bank of America, Capital One, Wells Fargo, Citi, Ally Bank, Discover Bank, and others.
  • Credit Cards: American Express, Chase, Capital One, Citi, Discover, Apple Card, Wells Fargo, and others.

  • You should be an experienced working professional.
  • You must currently use at least one qualifying service in each of the 5 mandatory financial categories.
  • You must use at least 2 additional qualifying financial apps/services.
  • You must have at least 2 years of historical data available from the financial services required for your submission.
  • Your financial data must include a transaction within the last 60 days.
  • You must be comfortable downloading and exporting data from your own accounts.
  • You must be able to follow detailed instructions and data submission requirements.
  • You must be comfortable using a provided tool to redact personally identifiable information before submission.
  • You must be able to complete the project within the required timeline.

Data Privacy & Security

Protecting your information is an important part of this project.

  • PII redaction takes place on your own device.
  • Raw exported files do not leave your device.
  • Personal and banking identifiers are removed before files are uploaded.
  • Account credentials and live financial data feeds are not collected.
  • Submissions go through automated quality checks and a final human review.
  • Data that does not receive Final Approval is not used and is deleted, with a Certificate of Destruction issued.
  • Only approved, anonymized datasets are used for the licensed program in accordance with your consent.

Success in This Project

Successful participants submit a complete, accurate, and properly redacted dataset that meets all project requirements and receives Final Approval.

A complete dataset requires:

  • All 5 mandatory financial categories
  • At least 2 additional eligible financial apps/services
  • A minimum of 7 apps/services total
  • 2 self-created financial artifacts
  • At least 2 years of historical data
  • A transaction within the last 60 days
  • Matching time periods across applicable exports
  • Properly redacted files that successfully pass quality review and Final Approval

Strong participants carefully follow project instructions, provide complete and accurate exports, properly redact their information before uploading, and respond promptly if any files need to be corrected or resubmitted.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
