Internship Program

The CareSource Intern is responsible for providing support on special projects, initiatives, and specific activities which will vary by assignment. We offer a 12-week, paid summer internship program for college students who want to separate themselves from the pack. This is an exciting opportunity to obtain real-world experience and prepare yourself for your career after college. The program offers:

Essential Functions:

  • Support the Health Partner Engagement team in managing provider relationships, including provider education, directory/data validation, site visits, and identifying opportunities to improve the overall provider experience.
  • Review existing processes, policies, SOPs, data, and performance metrics to identify gaps and recommend ways to make provider engagement activities more efficient and effective.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams such as Care Management and other healthcare operations functions to understand how provider-facing processes connect across the organization.
  • Explore opportunities to incorporate AI, automation, and process improvements into current workflows, bringing a fresh perspective to how the team works and supports providers and members.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Current Rising Junior or Senior in an accredited degree program or graduated within the last 6 months is required

Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Effective listening and critical thinking skills
  • Dependable, flexible and ability to maintain confidential information
  • Effective problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Compensation Range:

$41,200.00 - $66,000.00

CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance. We are highly invested in every employee’s total well-being and offer a substantial and comprehensive total rewards package.
