Position Details Title: Associate Sourcing Manager, Raw and Material and Trim, Asia Department: Sourcing, Carhartt Korea Reports to: Sr. Manager, Raw Material Sourcing Location: Seoul South Korea Job Classification: Onsite FLSA Status: Exempt Job Band: Professional   Job Summary The Associate Sourcing Manager – Raw Material and Trim, Asia manages the global raw material and trim supply chain strategy; understanding Eastern Hemisphere demand and placement to meet the needs of Carhartt and our vendors.  Assists in the resolution of cost, quality and delivery issues. Associate Responsibilities

Manages and develops Eastern Hemisphere raw material/trim supply chain to establish and manage min/max programs.  Ensuring the right product is at the right location at the right time. Sets raw material/trim costing and maintains costing records in PLM. Partners with sourcing support to data mine and analyze global raw material/trim usage in PLM. Partners with Product Development during the raw material/trim development to understand lead time, production location and usage globally.  Partners with Finance to establish min/max set-up at raw material/trim vendors and potentially liability and risk to Carhartt.  Communicates on a continual basis with raw material/trim vendors, finished goods vendors, Procurement, Finance, Product Development, and Field Sourcing and Senior Sourcing Managers regarding all aspects/details of the purchase (min/max program), and ensures accurate information is provided to all parties involved. Manages production issues, production planning, and final delivery of product. Coordinates usage information between Vendor, Procurement, Senior Sourcing Managers and Product Development. Act as a liaison between Quality, Procurement and raw material/trim supplier in resolving quality issues Communicates costing with Product Development/Design, Vendors, Suppliers, and Merchandising. Monitors Time and Action issues to maintain production timing and ensure on-time delivery performance. Develops KPI’s for raw material/trim vendors.

  Required Education

Bachelor's degree in textiles, apparel, operations, supply chain, or related field; or equivalent years of related experience in lieu of degree.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum of 3 years of relevant apparel manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain. Global supply chain experience preferred. Fluent in both writing and speaking English, and Korean. Project management experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills; and negotiation skills. Ability to build and sustain relationships cross-functionally. Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail. Ability to multi-task successfully and prioritize while meeting critical deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)

  Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Typical office environment; cubicle/ Office setting. Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer. Light lifting may be required. 10 LBS. Willing to work some weekends as necessary. International travel required (up to 20%). Must have or be eligible to obtain a passport.

This position has an On-Site location: Associate will work on-site for all work-related activities. Carhartt is a tobacco free workplace.
