Job Description

The Project Data & Specification Sales Intern will support the technical sales side of the Hunter Panels business by building practical, data-driven reporting that helps identify project activity, sales opportunities, and areas for follow-up. The primary focus of this role is to utilize project data platforms such as ConstructConnect and Dodge Construction Network to develop a recurring project opportunity report and supporting process that can be used by the sales operations and internal sales teams after the internship. Secondary responsibilities include reviewing specification platforms for accurate and current Hunter Panels information, helping identify opportunities for accessory sales in order files, and documenting repeatable workflows that improve visibility, follow-through, and sales growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use ConstructConnect and Dodge Construction Network to gather, organize, and evaluate project activity that may create sales opportunities for Hunter Panels.
  • Build a recurring project opportunity report that summarizes relevant project information, potential product fit, sales opportunity, and recommended follow-up.
  • Develop an SOP for the Hunter sales team that explains how project data is reviewed, reported, and used to support sales growth.
  • Use approved AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude to support data review, research organization, report drafting, and process documentation where appropriate.
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to identifying trends, gaps, and actionable opportunities within project databases.
  • Review specification resources, including Deltek MasterSpec/SpecPoint and RIB SpecLink, to help confirm Hunter Panels information is accurate, current, and positioned correctly.
  • Identify outdated, missing, or incorrect specification information and summarize recommended updates for review by the appropriate internal team.
  • Review order files to identify potential accessory sales opportunities, with emphasis on fasteners, tapes, and WRB where applicable.
  • Create a repeatable accessory sales review report process that helps the internal sales team recognize and follow up on additional sales opportunities.
  • Organize project, specification, and order file findings into clear summaries that support follow-up by Sales Operations, Internal Sales, Technical, or Field Sales teams.
  • Interact with sales representatives as needed while primarily supporting the internal sales team and Sales Operations priorities.
  • Create efficient, lasting processes, templates, and documentation that can continue to be used after completion of the internship.
  • Document practical AI use cases, prompts, and review steps that can help the internal sales team maintain consistent reporting and specification review processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives tied to project visibility, specification accuracy, sales opportunity tracking, and technical sales support.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
