Position Summary

The Carlyle Group seeks to hire a Vice President, Product Specialist within the Client Solutions Group for fundraising, sales enablement, and investor engagement for the private equity evergreen strategies, with a focus on the wealth channel.

This is an entrepreneurial, people-facing role. The successful candidate will turn complex investment information into clear, compelling stories that sales teams and investors can understand and repeat, and will produce polished, visually engaging materials. They engage effectively across all levels of seniority from senior leadership to junior colleagues, manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, and look for ways to improve how the team works, including driving efficiencies through AI and automation. Regular interaction with existing and prospective investors and distribution partners is expected.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the entire fund lifecycle, including fundraising, distribution, and ongoing investor relations
  • Develop deep product knowledge and serve as the internal subject matter expert on the evergreen strategies, including deal structures, terms, fees, and performance, to support Carlyle’s global sales force and distribution partners
  • Translate complex investment, structuring, and performance information into clear, engaging narratives tailored to different audiences, from wealth advisors to internal sales teams
  • Create and maintain high-impact marketing and diligence materials, including pitch decks, case studies, investor updates, newsletters, email campaigns, fact sheets, data room contents, and thought-leadership content, with the visual polish and consumer-marketing sensibility needed to resonate with the wealth and retail channels
  • Prepare and manage existing and prospective client requests, including RFPs, DDQs, and other due diligence requests, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency across all materials
  • Maintain strategic internal documents, including investor pipelines, dashboards to track fundraising progress and goals, talking points, performance summaries, and sales collateral
  • Support the strategy and coordination of client meetings and events, global roadshows, webinars, and investor conferences, including training and enabling relationship managers
  • Monitor and analyze product performance, market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to inform product positioning, fundraising strategy, and investor communications.
  • Utilize technical skills to prepare bespoke, data-driven fundraising and investor analyses
  • Proactively assess existing workflows for producing materials, responding to requests, and managing investor data. Reduce manual and repetitive work by building templates, standardizing content libraries, and leveraging AI and automation tools
  • Partner with key stakeholders (Investor Relations, Investment Teams, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, Fund Management, Legal, Compliance) to align on fundraising strategy and deliver a positive client experience
  • Support Carlyle’s Compliance objectives by liaising with the Legal and Compliance Department
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior members of the team
  • Complete special projects as needed

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
