Carolina Meadows, a prestigious senior living community in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is seeking a creative and passionate Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a Life Enrichment Coordinator at Carolina Meadows, you will have the opportunity to enhance the lives of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a diverse range of recreational and educational programs for residents, taking into consideration their interests, abilities, and preferences. Coordinate and facilitate group activities, such as arts and crafts, fitness classes, games, cultural events, and outings. Conduct individual assessments to identify residents' unique needs and interests, and create personalized activity plans. Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Collaborate with other departments and staff members to ensure seamless coordination of events and activities. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in senior life enrichment, and incorporate innovative ideas into the program. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering positive relationships and a vibrant living environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Previous experience in life enrichment, recreational programming, or a related role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting. Passion for working with seniors and a genuine interest in enhancing their quality of life. Creative and resourceful, with the ability to plan and organize engaging activities for diverse populations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with residents, families, and staff. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Flexibility in working schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.
