Role purpose

The Creative Community Moderator is the bridge between the Social Creative Team and the Content Planning Team, turning community behaviour, conversations and cultural signals into creative opportunities for the brand. This is not a traditional Community Manager role, the role goes beyond moderation and customer care: it brings the voice of the community into the creative process and helps ensure that social content is relevant, culturally aware and built to generate conversation. As a native English speaker, the role will also ensure that the brand communicates naturally, credibly and consistently with its social audiences. Operational responsibilities such as publishing, reporting, data analysis and customer care are led by other members of the team, with this role providing support when required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Community Intelligence & Engagement
  • Act as a direct connection between the brand and its social communities.
  • Monitor and understand what audiences are saying, sharing, questioning and reacting to across the brand's channels and relevant external communities.
  • Engage in conversations in a natural, proactive and brand-appropriate way.
  • Identify recurring behaviours, questions, interests and tensions that can inform the social strategy and creative output.
  • Ensure the brand has a credible and culturally fluent voice in English.
  1. Creative Community Input
  • Bring community insights and audience behaviour into the creative process, helping the Social Creative Team understand what will resonate.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for content, conversation and participation based on what is happening within the community.
  • Contribute creative ideas, references, formats and executions that respond to audience behaviour and cultural signals.
  • Help transform community conversations into creative opportunities rather than simply responding to them.
  • Work with creative teams to develop ideas when additional creative support is required.
  1. Trends & Cultural Signals
  • Keep a close eye on emerging conversations, formats, memes, behaviours and cultural moments relevant to the brand and its audiences.
  • Identify trends that have genuine relevance for the brand rather than simply chasing what is popular.
  • Flag opportunities early and provide a clear point of view on why a trend, conversation or cultural moment matters.
  • Feed these signals into the Content Planning and Creative teams to inform future content and cultural drops.
  1. Creative Activation & Editorial Support
  • Work closely with the Content Planning Team to ensure community intelligence is reflected in the editorial approach.
  • Work closely with the Social Creative Team to help activate creative strategies through social conversation and participation.
  • Support the implementation of creative strategies for integrated campaigns, social-first projects and editorial initiatives.
  • Ensure creative ideas are translated into social behaviour, not simply published as finished assets.
  • Identify opportunities to extend the life of creative work through community participation, conversation and response.
  1. Community & Brand Relationship
  • Moderate conversations across the brand's social channels and relevant external platforms.
  • Help maintain a positive, authentic and engaging relationship between the brand and its audiences.
  • Monitor relevant conversations on partners', collaborators' and creators' channels, identifying opportunities or issues that may require brand participation.
  • Escalate relevant community, reputational or customer issues to the appropriate team.
  • Help ensure consistency in how the brand behaves and communicates across different social environments.
  1. Operational Support
  • Support content publishing, tagging, community reporting and customer care processes when required.
  • Collaborate with the wider Social Media Team to ensure smooth day-to-day channel operations.
  • Provide community context to performance discussions, while data analysis and reporting remain led by the relevant Data / Content team members.

How the Role Works

The Creative Community Moderator sits between two teams:

CONTENT PLANNING Editorial strategy, priorities, content flows and publishing ↓ CREATIVE COMMUNITY MODERATOR

This is you! Community intelligence → cultural signals → audience behaviour → creative opportunities ↓ SOCIAL CREATIVE Ideas, formats, creative development and activation

The role therefore works in both directions:

  • From Community → Creative: What are people doing, saying and responding to? What opportunities are we seeing?
  • From Creative → Community: How can we make creative work travel further through conversation, participation and social behaviour?

What We're Looking For

  • Native or fully fluent English speaker, with excellent written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media culture, online communities and audience behaviour.
  • Naturally curious about internet culture, trends, creators, entertainment, automotive and wider culture.
  • Strong creative instinct and the ability to turn observations into ideas.
  • Able to distinguish between a trend worth participating in and a trend that should be ignored.
  • Comfortable working across creative, strategy, content and community teams.
  • Proactive rather than purely reactive, someone who brings ideas to the table rather than waiting for briefs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, highly social environment.
  • Experience in automotive, mobility, lifestyle, entertainment or other culturally relevant sectors is a plus.

Success Looks Like

The Creative Community Moderator is successful when:

  • Community behaviour informs creativity.
  • Creative ideas generate meaningful participation, not just publishing.
  • The brand feels present in culture rather than simply posting about it.
  • Trends and cultural opportunities are identified early and with a clear point of view.
  • The Social Creative and Content Planning teams have a stronger understanding of what the audience wants to engage with.
  • Community management becomes a source of creative intelligence, conversation and brand desirability, rather than simply a customer-service function.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
