The role also supports effective management of system issues, housekeeping, audit observations, fraud, AML, compliance, Business Continuity Management and internal control requirements, while driving process improvements and control efficiency within Credit Middle Office.

Key Accountabilities:

- Leadership and governance: Provide strategic and operational leadership across the three units, setting priorities, service standards, performance measures, resource plans and control expectations.

- Syndication Agency, end to end: Own the complete facility-agent lifecycle, including onboarding, conditions precedent, financial close, utilisation, rate setting, rollovers, interest and principal servicing, fees, lender communications, consents, waivers, amendments, transfers, reconciliations and maturity events.

- Syndication Participation Desk: Lead participant-side administration from deal onboarding through maturity, including review of agent notices, funding, rate setting, repayments, fees, amendments, waivers, transfers, covenant monitoring and lender obligations.

- Corporate and LMA-standard bilateral loans: Oversee onboarding, document abstraction, condition tracking, drawdowns, pricing, servicing, repayments, prepayments, extensions, amendments, covenant monitoring and maturity of complex corporate bilateral facilities.

- Transaction and portfolio control: Ensure all activities are supported by complete instructions, required approvals, documentary evidence, accurate system records, independent verification, reconciliations and a clear audit trail.

- Operational risk and RCSA: Own the first-line control environment for the units, including RCSA alignment, maker-checker controls, key control indicators, quality assurance, exception management, root-cause analysis, issue remediation, record retention and business continuity.

- Audit and assurance: Lead responses to internal audit, external audit, compliance and regulatory reviews relating to the role scope, ensuring complete evidence and sustainable closure of agreed management actions.

- Strategic initiatives and project management: Lead CMO initiatives from problem definition and business case through design, requirements, testing, implementation, stabilisation and benefits tracking. Govern scope, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, resources and executive reporting.

- Transformation and digitisation: Drive process re-engineering, workflow digitisation, automation, artificial-intelligence use cases, data and dashboard initiatives, and system enhancements while preserving segregation of duties, data integrity, resilience and auditability.

- Stakeholder management: Maintain effective relationships with senior management, Business, Credit, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, Finance, Operations, Technology, borrowers, facility agents, participant lenders and external legal counsel.

- People leadership: Lead, coach and develop managers and team members across the units through clear objectives, performance management, cross-training, succession planning, knowledge management and structured development plans.

- Management information: Provide transparent reporting on portfolio activity, service delivery, exceptions, control themes, capacity, resourcing and transformation progress, together with clear recommendations and decisions required.

- Policy and procedure governance: Own and periodically update relevant policies, SOPs, process maps, authority matrices and control documentation to reflect approved practices and regulatory requirements.

Decision-making and escalation: Challenge incomplete or non-compliant instructions, withhold processing where conditions are not satisfied, resolve complex escalations within authority and promptly escalate material legal, credit, operational, financial, conduct or reputational risks.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
