Cherry Bekaert’s Risk Advisory practice is evolving as quickly as the challenges our clients face, delivering innovative solutions and strategic guidance that help organizations scale with confidence. As a result of our continued growth, a position has been created for a Manager (Operational Transformation) to lead client-facing initiatives that improve critical processes, strengthen operational readiness, and help organizations translate transformational change into practical, sustainable ways of working. As a Manager (Operational Transformation), you will:

  • Lead operational transformation and process optimization engagements from planning through execution, translating complex business challenges into practical, scalable solutions
  • Assess and redesign end-to-end business processes, including Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Hire-to-Retire, and Record-to-Report, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, accountability, and scalability
  • Build and manage comprehensive project plans that define workstreams, milestones, dependencies, risks, deliverables, and stakeholder responsibilities
  • Help clients navigate the operational impact of technology transformation, including evaluating process and control implications, developing test plans, and preparing organizations for successful deployment and operational readiness
  • Develop the tools that make transformation sustainable, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, job aids, change documentation, operational readiness assessments, and KPI frameworks
  • Advise clients on organizational and operating-model improvements, identifying opportunities to optimize resources, clarify roles and responsibilities, and build processes that support continued growth
  • Translate detailed analysis into executive-level insights, developing clear recommendations, presentations, and summaries for senior executives and boards while helping stakeholders understand business implications and recommended actions
  • Lead client teams through ambiguity and change, looking beyond individual process gaps to identify broader solutions and opportunities for transformational improvement
  • Manage engagement delivery and develop team members, balancing project quality, client expectations, budgets, timelines, and coaching responsibilities

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline
  • 5+ years of experience leading or executing operational transformation, process improvement, project management, risk advisory, or related consulting initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience mapping, assessing, and improving complex business processes, with the ability to move beyond identifying problems to designing practical solutions
  • Experience supporting transformation initiatives involving technology or system change, with particular strength in operational readiness, downstream process impacts, controls, and business adoption
  • Experience developing project plans, test plans, SOPs, work instructions, job aids, change documentation, operational KPI frameworks, and executive-level presentations
  • A strong project management and operational mindset, with the ability to take ownership of workstreams, think strategically, solve problems, and drive initiatives forward with limited oversight
  • The ability to communicate complex operational issues and recommendations clearly to audiences ranging from process owners to senior executives and boards
  • Ability to travel as needed, not expected to exceed 25%

Additional, preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing, transportation, and/or logistics is strongly preferred
  • Experience with risk management, internal controls, COSO, SOX, or related frameworks is valuable, but success in this role requires an operations-first mindset rather than a traditional audit-first approach

What you can expect from us:

  • Our shared values that foster inclusion and belonging including uncompromising integrity, collaboration, trust, and mutual respect
  • The opportunity to innovate and do work that motivates and engages you
  • A collaborative environment focused on enabling you to further your career growth and continuous professional development
  • Competitive compensation and a total rewards package that focuses on all aspects of your wellbeing
  • Flexibility to do impactful work and the time to enjoy your life outside of work
  • Opportunities to connect and learn from professionals from different backgrounds and with different cultures

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
