The posting

This position is responsible for welding specific hollow metal frame material with the use of MIG welders. Accuracy and fabrication are very important as most of the work involves modifications including such items as preparing for locksets, hinges, glass kits, access control devices and other such products. Essential Functions• MIG welding of hollow metal frame material and commercial hardware• Assembly of hollow metal frame material and commercial hardware• Frequent work saw cutting, grinding and sanding related materials Minimum Qualifications• Experience using welders (MIG preferred)• Demonstrated basic knowledge of welding principles• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Knowledge of woodworking tools for use on wood doors desired• Basic construction knowledge with specific experience related to hollow metal and commercial hardware applications strongly preferred • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills• Good communication skills required• Ability to work independently, efficiently and meet deadlines

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this role, the employee is required to stand, kneel, crouch, stoop, use hands to handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms for more than two-thirds of the working day. Walking and talking or hearing are required for approximately one-third of the working day. This role requires frequent lifting of items weighing 25–50 pounds and occasional lifting of items exceeding 50 pounds. This position regularly operates in construction sites, warehouses, and shop environments.
